Personal Training Methods

Remember when playing was fun? We'll make it that way again!

My LifeWay personal training services are fun. Done with a light-hearted creative approach that keeps it enjoyable; our time will be "your time to play"...but will also be comprehensive & effective. Each client receives an initial thorough wellness assessment which includes fitness assessment, dietary analysis and a health risk assessment.

Personal Fitness... But Fun Too

Your fitness can be fun & creative, for example...

  • Training to various types of music
  • Outdoor / Park Training
  • Hiking / Snowshowing Sessions / Cycling Trips
  • Sports play (i.e., advanced tag, frisbee training)

Personal Wellness Appraisal

Each client receives an initial thorough wellness assessment which includest. Your wellness assessment includes testing for the following:

  • Cardiopulmonary fitness
  • Muscular strength and endurance
  • Flexibility
  • Body composition
  • Mind-Spirit

Dietary Appraisal

Using a simple 3 - 5 day diet record your current dietary patterns will be evaluated using a computer analysis program and you will receive specific diet modification recommendations, if needed.

Health Risk/Lifestyle Appraisal

An assessment of health risk is done with written results and recommendations. Your analysis will look at health risk for key lifestyle and disease indicators.

Goals

We develop goals together! You are the best expert on your life. Initial and ongoing goals development is an important part of your services. Each client receives an initial goal/objective sheet with specific goals and objectives.

For clients who contract for longer term packages (10 sessions or more) or are returning mini assessments to check progress are performed as part of the package price.

Personal Fitness Training Sessions

Every client is supplied with a detailed set of exercise guidelines.  A regular personal training session in your home or office normally consists of a full-body workout, including warm-up, assisted stretching, a targeted workout to meet your goals, core stability and strengthening, and some meditating/centering.

Fitness Training Frequency

You can schedule as many sessions/week as you wish. However a minimum of one session every two weeks is required. For new clients it is recommended that for the first week that each session is with trainer.

Personal Training Members Area

The on-line members section provides you with a personal resource center. Get program updates, communicate with your trainer (via message board or e-mail) and much more.
