Overweight & Obesity are among the fastest-growing and most troubling health and medical problems in the United States. If a person has a very high body mass index (BMI) they may be increasing the risk of many life-threatening health conditions, including high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease or stroke, Type 2 diabetes, gallbladder problems, asthma, sleep apnea, and various types of cancer.
The great news is that weight loss is a goal that is attainable with our evidence-based weight control program.
12 Week Program for Weight Loss
This weekly weight control program is:

- is harmonious and progressive

We'll tackle various issues you face in a directive and planned manner to reach your agreed upon goals.
Focusing on
- life style
- exercise and physical activity
- beliefs and cognition
- synergy in relationships
- eating and nourishment
- neurobehavioral processes -- the ways the brain controls eating behavior in response to biological and environmental factors
Meetings
Our first six one hour sessions are done at your location and are designed to develop a solid foundation to get you started in the program. After this, during 45 minute weekly phone or video meetings online (via aim or skype), we'll continue the program from there. Additionally, once a week email may be used for updates or question in between meetings.
Coaching and Content
Using a combination of readings from the course materials, practice assignments, journals, graduated exercise, enriched cognition and healthy eating we will together track your progress across a range of weight loss and life goals.
